In honor of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, here are two new works. "SUKKOT AT THE KOTEL", 20 X 16, oil/palette knife on canvas. And "DECORATING THE SUKKAH", an 'alla prima' painting, roughly 10 x 9 inches.
Father and daughter painting shows the excitement of youth, the girl more actively involved and the dad standing by to assist (and help reach). The red of the dress mirrors the red of the sukkah decorations, showing the child's full connection and immersion in the activity taking place. She is - as are all kids - an integral decoration, or adornment, in the family sukkah.
