With Gratitude to the One Above...
I am opening my own gallery! The Brocha Teichman Gallery.
Here are some images of the walls getting covered with my paintings, and one of the latest additions to the show (Old City Nocturne, 20 x 16, oil/palette knife).
If you should find yourself in the area please call to let me know. It would be my great pleasure to show you around :-)

"YEMENITE JEWELER". 20 x 16", oil/palette knife.
This is a portrait of Yosef Saleh, the silversmith, of Yemen. He was born in 1888 and lived to be 105 years of age. He and his family eventually emigrated to Israel, where they live today.
I am grateful that the family has allowed me the use of this image. Many more beautiful images of Yemenite Jewry in the early 1900's attest to a rich and vibrant era of Jewish history that I didn't know enough about.
I plan on learning more, and perhaps creating a series of paintings based on Jewish history.
Please click on image to enlarge, for better viewing.
